Turn your rut into a groove.

pm--4 Some nice miles w/ the girls before some of them go to Foot Locker. 

pm--4 A few tready miles watching the Pysch homage to Twin Peaks. Had to turn off the ceiling fan. 

am--6.5 Early morning miles w/ a buddy over into Green Valley and back. 

pm--6.5 Tready miles w/ a negative split. The last 3.25 were @ ~ 7:40--a pace that will help me improve. 

am--14 Hit the Rim trails--some of my favorite--from my house. Steady pace. Good climbing. Wonderful desert vistas. 

pm--3 Had to slog out some tready miles to make 60. 

pm--7.25 I intended on running right after school when I got home, but life was busy. I ended up cooking dinner and what not. Finally, I got down to the tready and ran @ 1.5 % w/ a progression in pace ending @ 8 MPH. It's been a blessing and a curse. I definitely find it easier to get a run in, but I worry about the pay off. Surely it's better to get out and run. For now, I'll take what I can get.

I'm in a rhythm lately and thinking about signing up for Utah Valley.

am--6 Nice run up to the Canyons and back down around the neighborhood. 

pm--4.75 Rough tready miles after graduate work. 

pm--9 Raced the sun on a Barrel Roll figure 8 w/ Sidewinder extension. 

pm--7.25 Tready miles @ 1% while watching El Clasico. 

pm--6.5 Didn't want another tready night, so I threw on a little more clothing and headed out on the Green Valley loop. Twas hard at first but worked in to a groove that was meditative at worst. 

pm--9.25 Barrel Roll w/ Sidewinder extension w/ a little extra @ an easy pace. 

Oh and how about Lukas Verzbicas? 

pm--7.5 Tready miles after a busy evening. Tried to hit a nice second half @ 1%. 3.5 in ~ 30 minutes followed by 3.5 in 26 minutes w/ a few nice tempo miles in there. Then cooled down for .5. 

am--7 Up and around Santa Clara. Pushed Graveyard hill just a little. 

pm--5.5 Old Hammer-Church Loop on tired legs. 

pm--10 tready miles sandwiched around the NHS Christmas Carnival. The first bout, I hit a few miles in the mid-to-high 7s. The second bout, I worked the incline from 1.5-3 and back down. I was very ornery yesterday without a run. Shame on me. 

am--4 Nice run on the peaceful earth, up Lava Flow and back. 

pm--6 Tready miles @ 1.5% w/ alternating paces. Rain, Rain, Go Away.

am--10 A longish run on the tready w/ 6 miles in the middle @ roughly TM tempo pace. Had the machine @ 1% except for a mile @ 1.5% and another @ 2%. 7:45 average for the whole run w/out ever having to struggle. I know the tready miles are building, but the cold rain isn't my idea of fun, especially for nearly 80 minutes. 

am--4 Beach miles in Encinitas in the rain. Took the shoes off for the last mile.

am--6.25 Nice run on the roads around the beach house in Encinitas. I love checking out the beach houses and the foliage, especially the succulents. I could handle living near the beach, although the desert is calling my name.

am--9.25 Dragged myself over to the in-laws for Christmas then to my parents all in the span of a few hours. I was dragging. My rhythm was out of sync this week, and the body let me know. 

am--5.25 Just trying to get the legs used to running again. By the end, it almost felt normal to run. 

pm--4 Chuckwalla loop w/ Tom. Twas nice to get out there again, and he wanted to test out his new Chrismas gift--VFFs. 

pm--5 Progression run on the tready @ 2% to hit the 2K mark for the year. I wasn't sure that I would make 2K for a great part of the year, but the last few months have been good. 

pm--6 Old Swiss Days loop. Twas a cold bugger. I wore shorts and a long sleeve shirt w/ gloves and a beanie. Thought this would be plenty because the sun was out and shining. But I ended up being really cold, especially running into the wind. 

am--10 From Castle Rock to Snow Canyon and down the wash into Santa Clara w/ some Santa Clara folks. I was wearing the most shoe out of anyone today, and I wasn't wearing much. One of my running buddies has made his own huaraches.
