pm--4 Anasazi w/ cholla, dodging the hound dog. She was crowding my legs today. Also, saw a big flipping bobcat about 30 yards in front of us. Always cool to see critters.

pm--5.75 Old school on Barrel Roll, clockwise w/ no Elusion. This is such a great run. One of the first trails I ever experienced. It's still one of my favs. A day is a good day on BR in shorty shorts. 
 

I finished an interesting biography of Elizabeth Bishop, A Miracle for Breakfast, by Megan Marshall. Bishop is one of my favorite poets, so subtle and attuned to the natural world. Sounds like she was quite the drinker, too.

am--7.75 Progressive run on the SC Parkway. Nice pack w/ the top girls other than Hailee w/ 4x hill sprints after.

pm--2.25 Arrowhead Trail to check on the beast. No dice.

am--2.25 Nice mixed group through my neighborhood.

pm--3.5 Run into the wind and sideways rain before the lightning came. 

pm--5.75 SC Parkway for a ladder workout at race pace. Good crew w/ Andrew. People learned about themselves today.

am--2.25 Some running around, enjoying company and acting foolish.

pm--4 Basically, Jacob Hamblin home and back before I had to skirt to class.

am--3 Good run w/ 6x striders in the run. We had a nice coeducational group this morning.

pm--3.75 Frontside of Anasazi w/ Ben. He's a good dude and a knowledgeable coach.

pm--5 Anasazi w/ the hound. She does well on a short leash. I'm also listening to a book called Sand Talk by Tyson Yunkaporta. Perfect desert book even if it's a bit wu.

am--2.25 Nice run w/ a big group. It's cooling off.

pm--6.25 Ran w/ some of the young bucks and ended up chatting w/ Kyler most of the time.

am--2.25 Decent run in the chilly drizzle. I love the morning crew.

pm--5.75 BYU workout w/ a new crew. It was a real workout for me. I missed the last pickup because one of the kids was having an asthma attack. It's fun to push.

I finished a quick, insightful read by George Leonard called Mastery. It's full of helpful stuff for life and athletics and vocations.

am--2.5 Good run w/ the top crew.

pm--4 Along Sunset and down the bridge me path. Great co-ed group.

am--5.25 SC Parkway w/ 6x striders towards the end. The group whittled down to Aspen, Eliza, Kyler, and I. They worked hard. The future of the team is in good hands.

am--5.25 Interval work w/ 2x 1600 and 2x 800. I unexpectedly jumped in a group and hit 7:20, 7:04, 3:30, and 3:34. I haven't run like that for a while. It was fun to push. I was at the edge of pushing into something that would've got my lungs and mind panicked a bit. There are some kids making big leaps.

pm--6 Barrel Roll in a figure 8. My legs were a bit tired, but nature cures many ills.

am--6.5 Anasazi w/ Tom. Great convo today about his guided meditation.

am--3.25 The neighborhood w/ 6x pickups. These always feel good even though speed seems to be a blessing of youth.

pm--3.25 A bit of Anasazi with the hound. As soon as I hit the trailhead, the sky started dumping. The dog had fun. We were both soaked by the end, and car is still mud scarred.

am--5.5 Nice progressive run up to the Canyons and back. It was chilly this wonderful morning of region. Girls placed 4th, and boys placed 3rd.

am--2 Chill (in many ways) run w/ a small group. We spotted the tree of light.

pm--5 Vineyard w/ a mixed crew. I ended up talking to Victor about Mexico.

pm--5.25 Ran around the Heights w/ a good group of girls. 'Twas like 20 minutes after slamming 2 tacos. My stomach is getting better. I had to cut the run a few minutes short because of an endorsement class I'm taking.

am--2.25 Another nice run w/ the co-eds.

pm--6 Barrel Roll in the most traditional way possible. It was 80 degrees this afternoon.

am--5 Pine Valley run w/ a decent sized crew. It was not much colder than home, which was weird.

pm--6 Anasazi w/ Decker. It was nice catching up. 

pm--5.75 Anasazi w/ a little Chipmunk. I didn't run w/ the kids this afternoon because it seems like it would be a good day for them to work together on their own. I thought the weather might turn nasty on the run, but nothing but overcast skies and some wind at the end.

am--4.75 Neighborhood just above the school. I added a bit before practice because I knew we would be traveling all day.

am--6 Towards Corner Canyon w/ Amber, Ben, and Jandee. Beautiful day for State XC.

pm--4.5 Jaunt to the roundabout w/ the JV girls.

am--5 SC Parkway w/ a good group. We were missing a few.

pm--5 Anasazi to the creosote w/ the new War on Drugs.

am--5 Springville jaunt on the country road that is N. Main Street. Good run on a good day.
