pm--5 Anasazi just over the top and back. This trail is rejuvenating my running. Perfect day. The hordes of people and their dogs substantiate that.

I finished The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. Classic sci-fi. I enjoyed but wouldn't have enjoyed more delving into the mythologies of the main societies.

pm--4 Up Serenity and back on a cold night. I like these later runs. Tonight's mostly came from the fact that the wind was crazy in the afternoon, so I waited until it died down.

pm--5.25 Old Swiss Days trail to the end and back from mi casa. I started out dragging but ended flying. Love those runs. This is the 1st time I've done 5 days in a row in at least 2 months. (Mojo's coming back.)

On another note, I've had some vertigo this week. I tried the Epley Maneuver. What a trip.

pm--6.75 I cruises along Santa Clara Dr. and hit the beginning section of the Anasazi Trail before turning around. It was kind of hard, but my legs are holding up. This was my 1st full week of running in a while.

pm--6 Anasazi Trail for the 3rd time this week. This trail is bringing perspective and helping to remind me of the days past when I really fell in love w/ running. On another note, I got a new watch that has a percieved effort component that, consequently, affects a recovery component. And after most of my runs, the watch says I need 50 hours of recovery. Not sure if it's the fact that I'm working back to fitness, that I'm not sure what is a hard or easy effort, or that my max heart rate might be higher than the age-graded heart rate, but I don't believe the recovery time or the effort feedback. I'm sure it's a combo of all 3. I'll keep tabs on this stuff going forward.

pm--6 Anasazi Trail. Felt blah for the entire first half but better on the return trip. Funny enough, my heart rate was 95-115 for the first 3 miles when I was huffing and puffing and having a tough time and then straight to the 180s when I was feeling light and smooth. My heart always gets going when I run, but the feedback was weird today. I'm not sure how accurate this wrist monitor is.

I finished Great Expectations, again. Nice book about redemption.

pm--5 Similar route to last night w/ a figure-8 thrown in. Also, if anyone needs to explore new music, give John Vanderslice a try. I can't get enough of his newest album, "The Cedars." It may not be for everyone, but it is for me. Did some research on wrist heart rate monitors, also, that put me at ease a bit. That's all for now.
