Turn your rut into a groove.

pm--3 Some easy miles around the neighborhood, trying to make this a habit again. 

pm--3 Keeping up the habit on the tready. 

pm--3.5 Some tready miles at the end of the sickness. If I can work myself back into some kind of shape, running will be a joy again. 

pm--8 Stationary bike miles. I can feel my knee and hamstring tighten and know that biking is the better option.

pm--4 Another treats run, watching "In the High Country" w/ Tony K. The best part--not a reflection of the quality of the film because it is great if a bit short--was the interview w/ his dad on the bonus features.

I finished my 1st book of the year, Skinwalkers by Tony Hillerman. He's always a fun read.

pm--4.5 Past SCHS and back. It was windy, and I am weak. Overall, it's good to pit the weak will against the weaker body. The Clifton 1s I'm running in are cushionedbut not very responsive. Not sure how I like that.

pm--12 bike miles while I watched "Unbreakable" about the Western States Endurance Race of 2012(?). It is really fun to see the personalities and the drive. Makes me want to get into nature. 

pm--3.5 I ran down and looped through a hole or two of the golf course. It felt hard.

pm--5 Hit the Anasazi Trail to the T up top. Felt as good as I've felt on a run in quite a while. But there is still some something or other in the hamstring area. Also, I saw Chad MF Perkins. That was fun. What a great dude. 

pm--4 Some decent miles. Two days in a row. 

am--4 Serenity Lane our-and-back. Felt okay. 3 days in a row running.

pm--11.5 Bike miles, looping into Ivins. I rowed 3k in just over 13 minutes. When my leg feels tight, I will default to a plan like this. The rowing will swell me in no time.

am--6.5 Bike ride to my parents and back w/ a 7-mile run on the Anasazi Trail. That's a pretty big day for me.

pm--3 These days off are never in-the-middle regarding running. I was left trying to get a few miles in tonight after dinner had settled. I did get to spend some time with my 2 younger kids today. That was fun.

I finished a book about a Catalan detective with a taste for fine food, Murder in the Central Committee by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. 

pm--4 Serenity out-and-back. I got a Lomilomi massage this afternoon and then went to watch my daughter dance. I finally got out the door at 8:30 and put in a few miles. 

pm--3.75 Did some looping through the golf course and back through the roundabout. Last night was a dud because of various things. 2 hours of Young Mens didn't leave much time for anything else. Tonight, I was trying to talk myself out of running, but Morrissey wanted to go, so....

pm--5.5 Biked the devil's mileage w/ a run on the Anasazi Trail thrown in the middle. It was hard at first, but I found my desert legs.

pm--3.75 Rough run after a lazy day. 

pm--5 Serenity w/ some messing around in those neighborhoods. Tonight's run couldn't have been much better. The chill in the air, the clear winter sky, the Clifton 4s, and Vampire Weekend all coallesced to make this one to look back on as to my purpose in running. 

pm--4 Tready miles. The goal is to run within myself and to increase pace slightly every mile. The last 2 days have been great running days.

pm--6.25 Anasazi to the homestead and back. Haven't done that in a while. It seemed to be wind in my face both ways.

am--3.75 Ran to Dixie Dr. and back through the golf course before heading to state drill.
